Join The Woke & Winning Youth Action Summer Workshop Series for our first youth art and activism workshop! Each workshop introduces youth and emerging artists between the ages of 16-to-25 years old to various local and national organizations that use their platforms to promote gun reform. The second half of each workshop offers emerging artists a master art class with School of the Art Institute of Chicago graduate and international portrait artist, Liz Gomez, and a concluding Art-Making for Awareness studio project that is meant to connect participants to the broader community.
During our kick-off session, learn about the two amazing non-for-profit organizations, The National Youth Art Movement Against Gun Violence (NYAM) and The WasteShed, who have teamed up to create this summer workshop series. Ask questions, get involved!
