The IMPACT Play Parties is a concerted effort with youth and other organizations including the Chicago Police Department and Churches to bring fitness and play activities to neighborhoods in order to encourage health and wellness. The goal is to bring awareness to decrease generational chronical illness in the communities. These events also help to get residents young and old active and engaged with other neighbors. The presence of positive activities helps to disrupt the negative behavior and illegal activities in the area. The integration with the police helps to build relationships. Youth develop leadership skills and a love for community service and advocacy.
