Event Details
The Gordie Foundation is calling for a timeout to the violence that has affected our youth in the City of Chicago. Because nearly half of Chicago’s homicide victims are young people between the ages of 10 and 25. Our event will focus on crisis intervention, prevention, resources, connections, support, spiritual and referral services for these families. The plan is to just bring these mothers and their families together for a good old day out with the community. We hope to uplift and encourage them thru community engagement. The event will feature up and coming gospel talent, DJ, food and retail vendors, games, prizes, free hot dogs, book bags, school supplies and haircuts for the boys. Featuring Special Guest Paul Gaffney of the Harlem Globe Trotters! Come and Stand With Us In Support of These Mothers and their Families! We invite all interested community organizations that would like to stand with us in support of these mothers to come. See You There!
